I also read that if you use the Nvidia 309.08 driver it will work.

So, after two weeks of multiple uninstalls, reinstall, install clean, destruction of registry, driver, using different drivers sweepers, spend time with the customer of NVIDIA and passing by each troubleshoot I could Google, I removed the HP Portrait display 1.4 update and now all is well. It has been suggested that I choose option 2 here to search for the drivers and Graphics Driver 280.26 has been found to install, but it made no difference. I uninstalled it and upon restarting, Windows successfully installed the driver, but the exclamation mark is still there. It is up to date and there is no driver to restore. There is an exclamation mark next to the NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 in the graphics card and the error message is "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. There is a known issue of incorrect Display driver being pushed by Windows Update which requires rolling back the driver. You can take your time until they are all updated. While there check if there are other newer drivers to Update. To try to fix Display issues despite from the age of the display adapter which I've rolled back on my two 6150SEx430 machines to Windows 7:Ĭheck for a newer Display driver on the PC or Display adapter Support Downloads webpage. Then hide the Update using the Hide Update Tool so it doesn't try to force itself: You can roll back Fall Creators Update Version 1709 to the older version until it matures.
